Rely on God’s Plans more than Yours!

Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' - which means, 'God with us.' When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.

Lesson to be Learnt:

                Joseph was a very nice man indeed. Because it was their custom that if they found a women guilty before marriage they can stone her to death. But Joseph did not do that. Yet he did not make a wise decision too. He wanted to silently divorce her and leave her. But God had a different plan for him, yes He wanted Joseph to wed Mary. At times we might take a good decision, but in all situations God makes the best decisions in our lives. Just as Joseph submitted to the will of God and obeyed Him, if we also obey the Lord in every walk of our life the Lord will surely reward us. So this new year, may it be small or big decision, like you are starting a new business, maybe you are joining a new course or maybe you want to buy something new in your home, may be you are planning a vacation to some place, whatever may it be, just ask the Lord to make the decision for you. We bet you will find it to be the best decision ever. God bless you!
