Was This Your Life?
There are laws that say that if we commit adultery
with any other person than our own spouse we will be punished.But Jesus says
that even the slightest intention of looking at a girl with lust is a sin. To
be faithful to our spouse with our body but not our mind is to break the trust
so vital to a strong marriage.
Many young people today, make friends with the opposite gender very easily. It starts as friendship, then becomes love (usually infatuation) and finally becomes trouble. They even ignore the love of their parents for this friendship. Remember dear youth! If your so called lover doesn't know how to love his/her parents, then they will surely not know how to love you if you become his/her spouse.
Jesus says that the deliberate filling of
one’s mind with fantasies will be evil if acted out. But eventually your
thought leads to action. So it is better to uproot it while its still just a
thought. And remember first unintentional look at opposite gender, is not sin but the next one is sure to get you to sin.
