There was man named Elkanah in Israel. He had two
wives, Hannah and Peninnah. Peninnah had children, but Hannah did not. Once a
year Elkanah traveled from his hometown to Shiloh to worship the LORD. Eli was
the LORD's priest there. Whenever Elkanah offered a sacrifice, he gave some of it
to Peninnah and some to her children. But he gave Hannah even more, because he
loved Hannah very much, even though the LORD had kept her from having children
of her own. Peninnah provoked Hannah for not having any children and she began crying
and refused to eat. So Elkanah consoled Hannah but she got up and went to pray.
Eli(priest) was sitting in his chair near the door to the place of worship.
Hannah was brokenhearted and was crying as she prayed, "LORD All-Powerful,
I am your servant, but I am so miserable! Please let me have a son. I will give
him to you for as long as he lives." Hannah prayed silently to the LORD but
her lips were moving, and Eli thought she was drunk. So he scolded her. Hannah
answered. "Sir, I'm not drunk, but I feel miserable and terribly upset.
I've been praying all this time, telling the LORD about my problems." Eli
replied, "You may go home now and stop worrying. I'm sure the God of
Israel will answer your prayer." Hannah thanked him and she left, and
after that she felt much better. The next morning they went back home to Tuesday, 2 July 2013

From the Writer's Desk
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. By the abundant grace of God, “Letter From God” has completed a year with you through mails. From our humble beginnings to the present, our goal and our desire is to share the Love of Jesus to everyone on earth.
We have tried our best to bring the word of God as it is, yet in a form in which you could understand better.
Year ago we wanted to find a way to share the word of God to as many people as possible . The internet allowed us to meet new brothers and sisters and show them how much the Lord Jesus loves them and cares for them.
We have started this new blog so that we could share God’s love with even more people. We believe that “Letter From God” is a blessing to each one of you. So we expect you to share the same blessings with your fellow people too.
It’s been a wonderful year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future. May you have a wonderful life ahead with all the blessing of the Almighty Lord Jesus!
Regards
Letter From God Team
