Everything We Do Will Be Judged!

Everything We Do Will Be Judged!

"Tomorrow morning everyone must gather near the place of worship. You will come forward tribe by tribe, and the LORD will show who stole what should have been destroyed. That man must be put to death, his body burned, and his possessions thrown into the fire. He has done a terrible thing by breaking the sacred agreement that the LORD made with Israel." Joshua got up early the next morning and brought each tribe to the place of worship, where  the LORD showed that Achan was the guilty one. "Achan," Joshua said, "the LORD God of Israel has decided that you are guilty. Is this true? Tell me what you did, and don't try to hide anything." "It's true," Achan answered. "I sinned and disobeyed the LORD God of Israel. While we were in Jericho, I saw a beautiful Babylonian robe, 200 pieces of silver, and a gold bar that weighed the same as 50 pieces of gold. I wanted them for myself, so I took them. I dug a hole under my tent and hid them." Joshua had some people find it in Achan's tent. They brought them back and put them in front of the sacred chest. Then everyone took Achan and the things he had stolen to Trouble Valley. They also took along his sons and daughters, his cattle, donkeys, and sheep, his tent, and everything else that belonged to him. Joshua said, "Achan, you caused us a lot of trouble. Now the LORD is paying you back with the same kind of trouble." The people of Israel then stoned to death Achan and his family. They made a fire and burned the bodies, together with what Achan had stolen, and all his possessions. They covered the remains with a big pile of rocks, which is still there. Then the LORD stopped being angry with Israel. That's how the place came to be called Trouble Valley.
Lessons to be Learnt:
1.       We cannot hide any sin from God. Everything is open in the sight of the Lord.
2.      This incident happened a long time before Jesus was born. It was instant judgment that the Lord gave those days. The Lord is so merciful and loves us on one side ,and on the other He hates sin and punish them that sin. But how can these two things be possible at the same time. That’s when the Lord sent Jesus Christ, His Only Son to be punished and die for our sins. Even before we were born, Jesus took all our sickness, curses and sin upon Himself. Just like how a lamb/goat is sacrificed for the sin of the people, He was killed to let us live a blessed life.
3.      So every time we sin, and God wants to punish us, He remembers the bloodshed by the Lord Jesus, the purest One born on earth and forgives the sins of His people.
4.      But that doesn’t mean that you can go all the way and do whatever you like, every act of yours will be judged on the final day of judgment by the Lord and at that time the good will get to heaven and the bad thrown into hell.

Ecclesiastes 12:14
(CEV)  God will judge everything we do, even what is done in secret, whether good or bad.

I(the Lord) cannot help you anymore until you do exactly what I have said!

I(the Lord) cannot help you anymore until you do exactly what I have said!

The LORD had said that everything in Jericho belonged to him. But Achan from the Judah tribe took some of the things from Jericho for himself. And so the LORD was angry with the Israelites, because one of them had disobeyed him. While Israel was still camped near Jericho, Joshua sent some spies with these instructions: "Go to the town of Ai and find out whatever you can about the region around the town." The spies left and went to Ai and reported, "You don't need to send the whole army to attack Ai--2 or 3 thousand troops will be enough. Why take the whole army for a town as small as that?" Joshua sent about 3000 soldiers to attack Ai. But the men of Ai fought back and chased the Israelite soldiers away. 36  Israelite soldiers were killed, and the Israelite army felt discouraged. Joshua and the leaders of Israel tore their clothes and put dirt on their heads to show their sorrow. They lay face down on the ground in front of the sacred chest of the Lord until sunset. Then Joshua prayed: Our LORD, Israel's army has turned and run from the enemy. Everyone will think You weren't strong enough to protect Your people.
Now the Canaanites and everyone else who lives in the land will surround us and wipe us out. The LORD answered: Stop lying there on the ground! Get up! I said everything in Jericho belonged to Me and had to be destroyed. But the Israelites have kept some of the things for themselves. They stole from Me and hid what they took. I cannot help you anymore until you do exactly what I have said. That's why Israel turns and runs from its enemies instead of standing up to them. Tell the people of Israel, "Tomorrow you will meet with the LORD Your God, so make yourselves acceptable to worship him. The LORD says that you have taken things that should have been destroyed. You won't be able to stand up to your enemies until you get rid of those things.
Lesson to be Learnt:
1.       God is always ready to help us but it is necessary that we carry out what He says exactly!
2.      The disobedience of one person caused the whole army of Israelites to be defeated. Today probably, your sin, just your disobedience may be causing your family/fellow people to be in trouble. Its time you repent and confess(acknowledge )the sin to the Lord and beg Him to forgive you. By that way you can escape the wrath of the Lord.

If you don’t know how to ask the Lord to forgive you for the mistakes you have done read from the link and pray with your heart and yes the Lord will definitely forgive you : http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm+51&version=NIV .

The Great Wall Fell!

The Great Wall Fell!

Jericho had a great wall around it and big, heavy gates. The people of Jericho had heard about the Israelites and were very afraid of them. God gave Joshua a plan for the capture of the city. On six days the soldiers were to march around the city one time each day. Some priests were to march with them, and seven priests were to blow on trumpets made of rams' horns. No one was to speak a word. They followed the plan as God had told them. On the seventh day at God's command, they marched around the city seven times. The priests blew on the trumpets and the people gave a great shout. The walls fell down flat and they were able to capture the city. They found the red rope that Rahab had hung from her window, and they saved Rahab and her family. Later Rahab married a man of Israel. They had a son and in later generations, a child was born who would become a king of Israel. His name was David and he was the great-great-grandson of Rahab. Many years after that, another child was born in the same family, He is none other than Jesus.
Lessons to be Learnt:
1.       God always has a winning strategy for His people. And when we ask, He is willing to reveal it to us through prayer/Bible Reading/visions etc.
2.      If I had been Joshua, I don’t know, maybe I would have asked God, how can we just go round the wall and shout to get it down?, and many more questions with logic and reasoning. But look at Joshua, He just executed what the Lord said, without a word.
3.      At times we are also asked to believe God in situations like Problems beyond your level to solve/Healing of sickness. You do pray and God does promises through His word to solve it for you, yet you wonder,
How can my debts be cleared? They are too may?
How can I get healed? The Doctor says there is no medicine for cure!
How can I get that job I wanted? I am not qualified! I don’t have a recommendation like others do!
And so many questions.
4.      Today God tells you to just believe and ask. And whatever you ask for in faith you are going to receive. Don’t think too much! Just praise God and thank Him for He has got His winning strategy ready for you! All you are going to do is to go around the wall of problem and get it down with God’s help!
God bless you!
Matthew 21:21
(MKJV)  Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt, you shall not only do this miracle of the fig tree, but also; if you shall say to this mountain, Be moved and be thrown into the sea; it shall be done.
