Marah’s Bitterness Turns Fit!

Moses and the Israelites sang this song in praise of the LORD. Miriam the sister of Aaron was a prophet. So she took her tambourine and led the other women out to play their tambourines and to dance in praise of the Lord. After the Israelites left the Red Sea, Moses led them through the Shur Desert for three days, before finding water. They did find water at Marah, but it was bitter, which is how that place got its name. The people complained and said, "Moses, what are we going to drink?" Moses asked the LORD for help, and the LORD told him to throw a piece of wood into the water. Moses did so, and the water became fit to drink. At Marah the LORD tested his people and also gave them some laws and teachings. Then he said, "I am the LORD your God, and I cure your diseases. If you obey me by doing right and by following my laws and teachings, I won't punish you with the diseases I sent on the Egyptians." Later the Israelites came to Elim, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees. So they camped there.

Lesson to be Learnt:

            If you notice the promises in the bible, it always has an if - then clause. Like  “If you obey My commands, Then I will heal you”. Our God is a faithful God. Whatever He promises He will surely do. But are we sure that we do satisfy the if part of His promises. It doesn’t mean God will be so strict watching if you obey Him and never forgive if you have disobeyed. It is human to falter. But be sure that even if you fall a thousand times, get up  and try again to obey God. It is our intentions that God sees. When we are really faithful trying hard to obey Him, the Lord will surely bless us. Today the Lord has given a promise to heal you of any kind of sickness if you obey Him. So are you ready to receive His promise?

Exodus 15:26

(CEV)  Then he said, "I am the LORD your God, and I cure your diseases. If you obey me by doing right and by following my laws and teachings, I won't punish you with the diseases I sent on the Egyptians."

(Hindi) कि यदि तू अपके परमेश्वर यहोवा का वचन तन मन से सुने, और जो उसकी दृष्टि में ठीक है वही करे, और उसकी सब विधियोंको माने, तो जितने रोग मैं ने मिस्रियोंपर भेजा है उन में से एक भी तुझ पर न भेजूंगा? क्योंकि मैं तुम्हारा चंगा करनेवाला यहोवा हूं।।

(Kan) ಆತನು-- ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಸ್ವರಕ್ಕೆ ಶ್ರದ್ಧೆಯಿಂದ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಆತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಆತನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಟ್ಟು ಆತನ ನಿಯಮ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಕೊಂಡರೆ ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ಯಾವ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರಮಾಡುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಪಡಿಸುವ ಕರ್ತನು ನಾನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.ತರುವಾಯ ಅವರು ಹನ್ನೆರಡು ನೀರಿನ ಬಾವಿಗಳೂ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಖರ್ಜೂರದ ಮರಗಳೂ ಇದ್ದ ಏಲೀಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು. ಅವರು ಆ ನೀರುಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಳುಕೊಂಡರು.

(Mal) നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു നീ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേട്ടു അവന്നു പ്രസാദമുള്ളതു ചെയ്കയും അവന്റെ കല്പനകളെ അനുസരിച്ചു അവന്റെ സകല വിധികളും പ്രമാണിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്‍ ഞാന്‍ മിസ്രയീമ്യര്‍ക്കും വരുത്തിയ വ്യാധികളില്‍ ഒന്നും നിനക്കു വരുത്തുകയില്ല; ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ സൌഖ്യമാക്കുന്ന യഹോവ ആകുന്നു എന്നു അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു.
