Do not lie!

Do not lie!

Being dishonest is a way of life these days. It is very difficult to distinguish who is telling the truth. It seems that many think that it is easy to tell lie when the benefits of lying are considered.

Four high school boys were late to their morning classes one day. They entered the classroom and sadly told their teacher they were late due to flat tire. The concerned teacher smiled and told them it was too bad they were late because they had missed a test that morning, but she was willing to let them write the test . She gave them each a piece of paper and a pencil and sent them to four corners of the room. Then she told them they would pass if they could answer just one question: Which tire was flat?

Funny and a common example. But God hates false witnesses. The Devil is the author of Lies. Each time you speak a lie remember that it comes right from the devil.  God has commanded you to say the truth always. “ Let your ‘YES’ be yes and ‘NO’ be no”. God is Truth. Consider the same situation above. If the boys had told the teacher the truth by fearing the Lord, may be they would not have got punished or less severely. The Lord rewards those who speaks truth and not those who lie. Next time when you are tempted to say a lie remember 2 things
1.       The devil is the author of lies. Keep away from him.
2.       The Lord will bless you if you chose to speak the truth.
