The
story of the rebellion of Korah is recorded in Numbers
16. Korah was the oldest son of Izhar, who was the
son of Kothath of the tribe of Levi. Korah, then, was of the same tribe as
Moses and Aaron. He led a rebellion against Moses and Aaron, accusing them of
exalting themselves above the congregation of the Lord. Korah was not alone in
his charge. He gathered 250 other men to challenge Moses’ authority as well:
“You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the
Lord is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the Lord's assembly?”. Obviously,
Korah thought that he could do a better job leading the people than Moses was
doing. But by leading this revolt against God’s divinely appointed leaders,
Korah was actually revolting against God (Numbers 16:11). Moses proposed a test
to prove the source of his authority. Korah and his followers did not pass the
test, and God opened up the earth and swallowed the rebels, their families, and
all their possessions. Furthermore, “fire came out from the LORD” and consumed
the other 250 men who were party to Korah’s rebellion. The rest of the
Israelites were terrified and fled .Tuesday, 13 November 2012

From the Writer's Desk
Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus. By the abundant grace of God, “Letter From God” has completed a year with you through mails. From our humble beginnings to the present, our goal and our desire is to share the Love of Jesus to everyone on earth.
We have tried our best to bring the word of God as it is, yet in a form in which you could understand better.
Year ago we wanted to find a way to share the word of God to as many people as possible . The internet allowed us to meet new brothers and sisters and show them how much the Lord Jesus loves them and cares for them.
We have started this new blog so that we could share God’s love with even more people. We believe that “Letter From God” is a blessing to each one of you. So we expect you to share the same blessings with your fellow people too.
It’s been a wonderful year and we can’t wait to see what’s in store for the future. May you have a wonderful life ahead with all the blessing of the Almighty Lord Jesus!
Regards
Letter From God Team
