Lord My Rescuer!

Lord My Rescuer!
One day, Moses was taking care of the sheep and goats of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and Moses decided to lead them across the desert to Sinai, the holy mountain. There an angel of the LORD appeared to him from a burning bush. Moses saw that the bush was on fire, but it was not burning up. He went up to see that. When the LORD saw Moses coming near the bush, he called him by name, and Moses answered. God replied, "Don't come any closer. Take off your sandals--the ground where you are standing is holy. I am the God who was worshiped by your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob." Moses was afraid to look at God, and so he hid his face. The LORD said: I have seen how my people are suffering as slaves in Egypt, and I have heard them beg for my help because of the way they are being mistreated. I feel sorry for them, and I have come down to rescue them from the Egyptians. I will bring my people out of Egypt into a country where there is good land, rich with milk and honey. I will give them the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. My people have begged for my help, and I have seen how cruel the Egyptians are to them.
Lesson to be Learnt:
1.       We should give the Lord glory and honor all the time.
2.      God sees our sufferings and will surely come to rescue us.
3.      He not only will rescue us but also give us the land flowing with milk and honey! Praise the Lord!

Through the Eyes of the Lord!

Through the Eyes of the Lord!
Now when Moses had become a man, one day he went out to his people and saw how hard their work was; and he saw an Egyptian giving blows to a Hebrew, one of his people. And turning this way and that, and seeing no one, he put the Egyptian to death, covering his body with sand. And he went out the day after and saw two of the Hebrews fighting: and he said to him who was in the wrong, Why are you fighting your brother? And he said, Who made you a ruler and a judge over us? are you going to put me to death as you did the Egyptian? And Moses was in fear, and said, when Pharaoh had news of this, he would have put me to death. So Moses ran away from Pharaoh into the land of Midian: and he took his seat by a water-spring. Now the priest of Midian had 7 daughters: and they came to get water for their father's flock. And the keepers of the sheep came up and were driving them away; but Moses got up and came to their help, watering their flock for them. And when they came to Reuel their father, he said, How is it that you have come back so quickly today? And they said, An Egyptian came to our help against the keepers of sheep and got water for us and gave it to the flock. And he said to his daughters, Where is he? why have you let the man go? make him come in and give him a meal. And Moses was happy to go on living with the man; and he gave his daughter Zipporah to Moses. And she gave birth to a son, to whom he gave the name Gershom: (I have been living in a strange land). Now after a long time the king of Egypt came to his end: and the children of Israel were crying in their grief under the weight of their work, and their cry for help came to the ears of God. And at the sound of their weeping the agreement which God had made with Abraham and Isaac and Jacob came to his mind. And God's eyes were turned to the children of Israel.
Lesson to be Learnt:
Our God is a living God. He is Almighty, He sees us all the time, He hears our voice and He responds to our cry every time. At times we are too insensitive to “His response” to our cry.
Here also the Lord heard the cry of His own people and He responded to their cry even before they even called Him by saving Moses. Now you might very well understand the fact that we look at our lives as a puzzle. But God has already solved the puzzles in our lives. If you put your faith in this and look at the things through God’s eyes then you will never fear anything in your life. For you are safe and sound in the presence of the Lord. May God Bless you!

God solves It All!

God solves It All!
Now a man of the house of Levi(son of Jacob, so one of the tribe of Israel) took as his wife a daughter of Levi. And she became with child and gave birth to a Son; and when she saw that he was a beautiful child, she kept him secretly for 3 months. And when she was no longer able to keep him secret, she made him a basket out of the stems of water-plants, and placing the baby in it she put it among the plants by the edge of the Nile. And his sister took her place at a distance to see what would become of him. Now Pharaoh's daughter came down to the Nile to take a bath, while her servants were walking by the riverside; and she saw the basket among the river-plants, and sent her servant-girl to get it. And opening it, she saw the child, and he was crying. And she had pity on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrews' children. Then his sister said to Pharaoh's daughter, May I go and get you one of the Hebrew women to feed him? And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Go. And the girl went and got the child's mother. And Pharaoh's daughter said to her, Take the child away and give it milk for me, and I will give you payment. And the woman took the child and fed him. And when the child was older, she took him to Pharaoh's daughter and he became her son, and she gave him the name Moses(meaning I took him out of the water).
Lesson to be Learnt:
At times we feel our life is a big puzzle. We question “why such things happen in my life?”etc. But when the outcome comes we find that the Lord has planned each and everything ahead of us and gives us the right things at the right moment. To us we are in a giant puzzle, But God looks at the finished piece which is beautiful. So when you are surrounded by problems just believe that the Lord has solved everything for you. Praise God!.

Stand For The Truth!

Stand For The Truth!
And the king of Egypt said to the Hebrew women who gave help at the time of childbirth the name of the one was Shiphrah and the name of the other Puah, When you are looking after the Hebrew women in childbirth, if it is a son you are to put him to death; but if it is a daughter, she may go on living. But the women had the fear of God, and did not do as the king of Egypt said, but let the male children go on living. And the king of Egypt sent for the women, and said to them, Why have you done this, and let the male children go on living? And they said to Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not like the Egyptian women, for they are strong, and the birth takes place before we come to them. And the blessing of God was on these women: and the people were increased in number and became very strong. And because the women who took care of the Hebrew mothers had the fear of God, he gave them families. And Pharaoh gave orders to all his people, saying, Every son who comes to birth is to be put into the river, but every daughter may go on living.
Lesson to be Learnt:
These days everyone of us like to follow the crowd. Very few stand for the cause of truth. Here the midwives(like nurses) stood for the truth. The feared the Lord and did the right things and they were blessed by the Lord. The same way though all of us around us are choosing the wrong path, if you chose to do the right thing fearing the Lord. Then the Lord will bless you and your family as well.

God Is Our Strength!

God Is Our Strength!

Now these are the names of the sons of Israel who came into Egypt; every man and his family came with Jacob. Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah; Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin; Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher. All the offspring of Jacob were 70 persons: including Joseph. Then Joseph came to his end, and all his brothers, and all that generation. And the children of Israel were fertile, increasing very greatly in numbers and in power; and the land was full of them. Now a new king came to power in Egypt, who had no knowledge of Joseph. And he said to his people, See, the people of Israel are greater in number and in power than we are: Let us take care for fear that their numbers may become even greater, and if there is a war, they may be joined with those who are against us, and make an attack on us, and go up out of the land. So they put overseers of forced work over them, in order to make their strength less by the weight of their work. And they made store-towns for Pharaoh, Pithom and Raamses. But the more cruel they were to them, the more their number increased, till all the land was full of them. And the children of Israel were hated by the Egyptians .And they gave the children of Israel even harder work to do: And made their lives bitter with hard work, making building-material and bricks, and doing all sorts of work in the fields under the hardest conditions.

Lesson to be Learnt:
No man can prevent what God has planned to do for us. The Egyptians planned to stop the growth of God’s children but failed bitterly, the more they suppressed them the more the Israelites came up. So when somebody is trying to put you down without reason, then all you got to remember is, God is on your side. And the more they suppress you the more you are going to increase. Praise God!
Isaiah 40:31
(CEV)  But those who trust the LORD will find new strength. They will be strong like eagles soaring upward on wings; they will walk and run without getting tired.
