Power to the weak!

A father desired that his only son should one day become an engineer with name and fame. He was willing to make all sacrifices for achieving this goal. The principal of the college first promised to give a seat. With great difficulty, the father managed to get the fees amount and went to college the next day. In the meantime, the principal changed his mind, refused the admission and almost pushed them out of the office. The father and son were brokenhearted. But they again regained with absolute faith in God. By the good encouragement of the father, the son joined an arts college and got his degree. Soon, he got a good job and passed all the department tests and rose to a very high post, much higher than the status of an engineer. Because, he placed all his hope on God only, he was blessed in a wonderful way.

In the present day world, it is common to see people losing confidence in life for various reasons. Alas! I am unable to concentrate on studies! All who got married along with me have children, When will I have a baby? Why do I fail so many times in my examinations? My marriage is getting delayed. Will I ever be blessed in my life? My debts are increasing, is there a solution for that?. You may have many other burdens like these. But remember the promise that Jesus gave us in Isaiah 40:29(“He gives power to the weak,and to those who have no might He increases strength.” Jesus loves us and His only desire is to bless us. When we place all our burden at His feet, He is ready to redeem us and make us happy. Shall we also trust the Lord and be blessed?

No Evil can Stand against the Power of the Lord!

There were four girls in a family. Because,3 of them were fair and good looking, the parents could give them in marriage without much trouble. But the 4^th one was slightly dark and hence, there was delay in fixing her marriage. But, it is a pity that her mother made this issue big and accused her often. So, this girl  suffered a lot. Fortunately she had a God-fearing friend who comforted her and persuaded her not to lose heart and suggested that they should pray together with faith since all things are possible with God. Yes! They prayed together with faith and God answered their prayer. In a miraculous way, her marriage was completed soon . After sometime, the marriage life of the other sisters started crumbling because their life was not founded on the faith of God but their own beauty. But, this girl’s life was full of peace and happiness since from the beginning she believed in God and lived according to the Word of God. My dear brothers and sisters, the life that seeks the Lord prospers. The power of God can destroy all evil, curses and barriers in your life. Seek God and your life shall be joyful and prosperous(Isaiah 35:1). The God who healed the sick, who raised the dead and commanded the wind and the storm is still with us. He remembers us and He has great pleasure blessing you. Know that it is quite easy for Him to redeem you from all your troubles and sufferings. So, never forget to trust and thank Him for all His mercies.

He will never let you Down!

A young girl went oversees for employment, earned money and looked after all the members for her family. Soon, she helped her sisters and brothers get married and settle in life. As days went by, she found that no one was there to care for her. She felt lonely and forsaken. So, one day, she went to a servant of the Lord and told him how she had been exploited by her own family members and her present pathetic condition. The Lord’s servant prayed for her and comforted her. Do you know what happened? A miracle happened in her life. She received a proposal for marriage through a known Pastor from a man who was working abroad and was seeking for a God fearing girl. He wanted a girl with good character and was not worried about the status and income of the girl. They were married soon and lived  a happy and prosperous life. God gave this girl who was forsaken by her own family members, more than she desired and asked for. Dear brother and sister, today you too might find yourself forsaken and exploited by the same people whom you helped to come up in life. Do not fear. Take good courage. Find refuge under God’s mighty wings. He will never let you down.  You also will be blessed by Him.

From Hopelessness to Peace!

All my life I had been searching for something to fill the vacuum(emptiness) in my heart. Although I was trying many things nothing filled the vacuum. Everything I tried to fill this vacuum with(alcohol, gambling, drugs, medicine.etc)left the vacuum unfilled. Despite of my many suicide attempts I tried. But JESUS had a plan for me ,He kept me alive and was patient with me. A church in my place found me and gave me a chance to change my life. Slowly I was changing and being saved from all the sins I did. I started going to church faithfully, I was living in the woods. Some people from church started trusting me enough to come in their yards and pull weeds for them. By this time I had quit drinking .A lady named Shirley asked me if I could cut grass for her and I said yes. She let me use her push mower to cut her two yards. Somehow people came to know about this hopeless, homeless, man and many people started asking me to work for them. I was working hard and around this time I met a lady at a home fellowship group of our church, and became friends. I was still in the woods. Shirley then let me get cleaned up at her house and I was grateful. I had a problem now. I had work but no transportation. The lady who asked me to cut grass in her yard at first loaned me her mower to use, and Shirley gave me the transportation. It all started with a push mower in Shirley’s trunk of her car. Now I am having almost two trailers, two riding mowers and enough to have a happy living .I asked Shirley to marry me .She said yes. Since Jesus saved me, I have something that much people think they can never attain Peace. This testimony is for those who think they are drowned homeless and hopeless. Here’s the good news that Jesus can set you free just as He saved me He can pick you up from the miry clay and put you up on a steady place. All you got to do is, repent and submit your life to Him. Then He will lead you in the perfect path. May God bless you.

Moses Dies!

Moses Dies!

The LORD did not allow Moses to cross Jordan to the promised land. And so, Moses the LORD's servant died there in Moab, just as the LORD had said. The LORD buried him in a valley near the town of Beth-Peor, but even today no one knows exactly where. Moses was a hundred twenty years old when he died, yet his eyesight was still good, and his body was strong. The people of Israel stayed in the lowlands of Moab, where they mourned and grieved thirty days for Moses, as was their custom. Before Moses died, he had placed his hands on Joshua, and the LORD had given Joshua wisdom. The Israelites paid attention to what Joshua said and obeyed the commands that the LORD had given Moses. There has never again been a prophet in Israel like Moses. The LORD spoke face to face with him and sent him to perform powerful miracles in the presence of the king of Egypt and his entire nation. No one else has ever had the power to do such great things as Moses did for everyone to see.

Lesson to be learnt:

      Moses was the only person who ever spoke with God face to face. He was called Israel’s greatest prophet yet he was not allowed to enter the promised land for disobeying God.  No matter how good we are and how much we do, if we disobey God, God punish us to discipline us.  God punished Moses greatly yet He called him His friend. When  God tries to discipline us, we must respond as Moses did. Instead of running away from God with anger, hatred and  resentment, we should turn towards Him with love, openness and a desire to do better.

Hebrews 12:6
