Beatitudes

A gentle, patient, mild man his hope being in the Lord is more prosperous than an impatient and quarrelsome man who easily raises up enemies; often loses property in lawsuits; spends his time in disputes and broils rather than in sober, honest industry; and is harassed, vexed, and unsuccessful in all that he does. “Godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that we live now, and also the life in heaven that is to come,”. The term “The earth will belong to them”  does not mean that the gentle people would own great property or have many lands, but that they would possess special blessings from the Lord.

Matthew 5:5

(CEV)  God blesses those people who are gentle. The earth will belong to them!

(Hindi) धन्य हैं वे, जो नम्र हैं, क्‍योंकि वे पृय्‍वी के अधिक्कारनेी होंगे।

(Tamil OV)  சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் பூமியைச் சுதந்தரித்துக்கொள்ளுவார்கள்.

(Telugu)  సాత్వికులు ధన్యులు; వారు భూలోకమును స్వతంత్రించుకొందురు.

(Mal) സൌമ്യതയുള്ളവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്‍; അവര്‍ ഭൂമിയെ അവകാശമാക്കും.

(Kan) ಸಾತ್ವಿಕರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

Step 1

James4:7  Surrender to God!

(It means to submit each every aspect of your life to the Lord and listen to what He tells you to do with much sincerity)

(Hindi) इसलिथे परमेश्वर के आधीन हो जाओ?

(Tamil OV)  ஆகையால், தேவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்;

(Telugu)  కాబట్టి దేవునికి లోబడియుండుడి

(Mal) ആകയാല്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ ദൈവത്തിന്നു കീഴടങ്ങുവിന്‍ ;

(Kan) ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿರಿ. ಸೈತಾನನನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸಿರಿ, ಆಗ ಅವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಓಡಿಹೋಗುವನು.

Step 2

James 4:8   Come near to God, and he will come near to you.

(Draw yourself more closer to the Lord by talking to God in prayer daily and reading His Word daily. When you take one step towards Him,

He comes so many steps towards you.)

Step 3

Clean up your lives, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you people who can't make up your mind.

(If you have done some mistakes in the past or doing any mistakes now, acknowledge those sins before the Lord and

plead Him to forgive you for all those sins and never look back to do that sin again)

(Hindi) परमेश्वर के निकट आओ, तो वह भी तुम्हारे निकट आएगा: हे पापियों,

अपके हाथ शुद्ध करो? और हे दुचित्ते लोगोंअपके ह्रृदय को पवित्र करो।

(Tamil OV)  தேவனிடத்தில் சேருங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களிடத்தில் சேருவார். பாவிகளே, உங்கள் கைகளைச் சுத்திகரியுங்கள்;

இருமனமுள்ளவர்களே, உங்கள் இருதயங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்குங்கள்

(Telugu)  దేవుని యొద్దకు రండి, అప్పుడాయన మీ యొద్దకు వచ్చును. పాపులారా, మీ చేతులను శుభ్రముచేసికొనుడి;ద్విమనస్కులారా, మీ హృదయములను పరిశుద్ధపరచుకొనుడి.

(Kan) ದೇವರ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ, ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವನು. ಪಾಪಿಗಳೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗಳನ್ನು ಶುಚಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಎರಡು ಮನಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳವರೇ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಲ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ.

(Mal) ദൈവത്തോടു അടുത്തു ചെല്ലുവിന്‍ ; എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു അടുത്തുവരും. പാപികളേ, കൈകളെ വെടിപ്പാക്കുവിന്‍ ; ഇരുമനസ്സുള്ളോരേ, ഹൃദയങ്ങളെ ശുദ്ധീകരിപ്പിന്‍ ;

Step 4

James 4:10  Be humble in the Lord's presence, and he will honor you.

(Acknowledge the fact that only through the grace and love of God that you are there today).

(Hindi) प्रभु के साम्हने दीन बनो, तो वह तुम्हें शिरोमणि बनाएगा।

(Tamil OV)  கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகத் தாழ்மைப்படுங்கள், அப்பொழுது அவர் உங்களை உயர்த்துவார்.

(Telugu)  ప్రభువు దృష్టికి మిమ్మును మీరు తగ్గించుకొనుడి అప్పుడాయన మిమ్మును హెచ్చించును.

(Mal) കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ സന്നിധിയില്‍ താഴുവിന്‍ ; എന്നാല്‍ അവന്‍ നിങ്ങളെ ഉയര്‍ത്തും.

(Kan) ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ; ಆಗಲಾತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆತ್ತುವನು.

A sinful past

Once there lived a man who led a displeasing life. He continued to lead a sinful life, inspite of many people advising him to walk in right ways. His wife was a personification of patience. She patiently prayed for his change of heart. But, he would not even allow her to pray! He enjoyed hurting God as well as all those who believed in God.

 Life turned upside down

One day, he went to another place on an official duty. On the way, he met with a car accident and fractured his leg and was admitted in a hospital. The doctors, who examined him, said that they would have to cut off his leg to save his life and advised him to get ready for the same.

Who will help this terrible sinner?

He was shocked! His sinful life slowly appeared before his eyes. He was in despair and said to himself, “Woe to me! What a great sinner I am? Alas! I was haughty and arrogant to reject and hurt them. I hurt God Almighty also. Today, who will help this terrible sinner?”

Prayers Heard

Saying so he started weeping bitterly for his past. Some Pastors and elderly Christian people who had come there to see him heard this and took pity on him, went to his room and prayed for him often. The man too wept and prayed along with them. The Lord heard their prayers and had compassion on him. The doctors who came after a few days to examine him told him that there was no need to cut off  his leg. Yes! He got his leg back.

God blesses those people who feel sad. They will find comfort!

This terrible sinner when he cried out to the Lord, repenting for his past sinful life, the Lord not only  saved him from sickness and but also comforted him by taking away the guilt of his past life.Our God is well known to give a fresh start and a new life to anyone who comes to Him. Are you ready to start afresh?  Come immediately before it gets too late. He's knocking feebly at your heart - can't you hear His gentle voice? He has already suffered the punishment you ought to incur on His cross. He's waiting for His beloved son/daughter. Just cry till your  eyes can't produce tears anymore for your sin just unto His feet.  You'll then see the divine peace and comfort you've felt never before as a proof that God has accepted you and come into you. Ask pardon - Ask Him to wash your sins with His precious blood. Amen.

Day 3

Beatitudes

Have you ever been too sad for having done a grave mistake in life? Ever wondered you could be happy if there was an undo button for life to take that guilt and sadness away from you?  Here comes a cure to your guilt and sadness. The Cross of Jesus is there to give you forgiveness.(Col1:13 n Col 1:14) He's ready to erase any of your sin in the past from His memory (Heb 8:12) when you really feel sad about it and feel you should never have done it and also never do it again. He wants to treat you as if you have never done such a mistake. So do you wish to be happy again and free of guilt? Then all you need to do is sit and pray(just tell God) with sincere tears to ask the Lord to forgive you from those past mistakes that you have done.

(Telugu)  దుఃపడువారు ధన్యులు; వారు ఓదార్చబడుదురు.

(Kan) ದುಃಖಪಡುವವರು ಧನ್ಯರು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ಅವರು ಆದರಣೆ ಹೊಂದುವರು.

(Mal) ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഭാഗ്യവാന്മാര്‍; അവര്‍ക്കും ആശ്വാസം ലഭിക്കും.

Mohan C. Lazarus

Mohan C. Lazarus    NÁLUMÁVÀDI – an inconspicuous tiny settlement which has its location at about 9ºN latitude and 78ºE longitude in the southern edge of the Indian peninsular. Even today the population of this village is not exceeding 5000 that comprises some 200 families put together. The legend says that when the Dravidian people emigrated from the then Yazhppánam of present day Srilanka to the southern tip of Indian subcontinent, a small group made their settlement at ‘Mayilodai’ in Thoothukkudi district. After some time they again shifted their dwelling place to ‘Sugandhalai’. From here two brothers began their journey towards further south to avoid confrontation with the local sons of the soil. On their exile, they came to a place where water resources and mango groves were aplenty. Though the elder brother, Káththava Nádár decided to put his tent there, the younger one proceeded further to south. The first settler, Káththava Nádár made his dwelling place in the midst of four big ‘Mangifera Indica’ trees, and it was called as Nálumávàdi: in local dialect – Tamil, it means ‘under the shadow of four mango trees’.

In this small insignificant village was born Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus as the second child to the wealthy parents Mr. Chiththiraippándi and Mrs. Kani Ammal, descendants of the first settler, Káththava Nádár. While this loving couple had four male children, the LORD had chosen Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus for His eternal cause.

Though in his early days Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus was brought up according to the staunch native religious tradition of his family, the LORD’s mantle fell on this frail looking youngster. The inculcation was such that, he used to have combative arguments with those who spoke about Jesus. His feeble mind could equate Jesus only with the Buddha and Gandhi and not more than that. He could not comprehend the Godhood of Jesus. Moreover, the indoctrination that he imbibed had developed detestation toward Jesus and his followers alike!

In this situation, during his early teen age, strictly speaking, in his fourteenth year, he was severely affected by an undeciphered heart ailment. The money consuming diverse medical treatments failed to sweep away the malady; instead, his heart began to bulging out more conspicuously. As a result, his body was paralyzed and he was confined to bed. His days were begun to be numbered.

Nevertheless, his loving parents did not lose hope. They prayed to every god and goddess with various vows and pledges except the Christian ‘God’ Jesus as this very name was anathema to them. The days were passing by. No change was visible on his health. It became to deteriorate day by day.

Relatives and neighbors began to line up to have a last look of this dying young boy! Tears and grief engulfed the whole family. At this precarious scenario, our gracious LORD sent one of His vessels to counter with His eternally chosen tool to bring him unto His Fold! His parents did not oppose this man’s move; for, inwardly they expect their son’s curing eagerly! The visiting man began to pray with compassion and determination. Even as he prayed the power of God descended upon the sickly boy. The miracle unfolded! The impossible transformed into possible! After the prayer the boy slowly got up and sat on his bed. Amazing had happened! In spite of losing hopes of all, he started a new lease of life!

The hitherto unbelievable caring love and consoling grace of the LORD Jesus cleansed his body, soul and mind. He realized the unfathomed compassion of the Light of the World! He began to aware of the true Way in Him! Jesus Christ became his LORD and Saviour from that moment onwards!

After that heavenly sent moment, the burning zeal for his Heavenly Master propelled him to burn for His cause of building His Kingdom by propagating His unchanging love and compassion towards the entire humanity sans any partiality. Now Bro. Mohan C. Lazarus is a world-renowned evangelist whom our mighty God uses in a very potent way. Through him, the LORD started His Ministry by name – ‘Jesus Redeems Ministry’ at this tiny hamlet – NÁLUMÁVÀDI, with a core object of telling the world that the LORD Jesus Christ is the only Redeemer and Saviour of the whole Universe!
