Rom 12:15 When others are happy, be happy with them, and when they are sad, be sad.

There would have been many people around you when you were happy, but just one soul near you or not even that when you are sad, broken, troubled or frustrated. Many people don’t like to hear others lamenting. But haven’t you felt the need for caring and comforting words in those bad times. Am sure it’s an “Yes” . Then when you find one of your friend or one of your family member troubled, shouldn’t you be there to give them those words of care that you badly wanted during your bad times. Yes, when you start doing this Am sure you are nearing those qualities of making peace…

(Hindi) आनन्‍द करनेवालोंके साय आनन्‍द करो? और रोनेवालोंके साय रोओ।

(Tamil OV)  சந்தோஷப்படுகிறவர்களுடனே சந்தோஷப்படுங்கள்; அழுகிறவர்களுடனே அழுங்கள்.

Rom 12:16 Be friendly with everyone. Don't be proud and feel that you are smarter than others. Make friends with ordinary people.

In today’s world there is a lot of difference that is being created by some selfish people based on caste creed color etc. Though people proclaim a free environment  those difference still exists and those who were down trodden in the past are still facing bitter situations. Even children of this age are taught to differentiate between rich and poor etc. If you are rich and smart, then isn’t it the blessing of God because you are created by God the same way are the others each in their unique beauty. So when you find someone lower than you, shouldn’t you be friendly with them, not neglecting them and also share them the blessings that God has given you. So that through you they may come to Christ!

(Hindi) आपस में एक सा मन रखो? अभिमानी न हो? परन्‍तु दीनोंके साय संगति रखो? अपक्की दृष्‍टि में बुद्धिमान न हो।

(Tamil OV)  ஒருவரோடொருவர் ஏகசிந்தையுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள்; மேட்டிமையானவைகளைச் சிந்தியாமல், தாழ்மையானவர்களுக்கு இணங்குங்கள்; உங்களையே புத்திமான்களென்று எண்ணாதிருங்கள்.

Rom 12:17 Don't mistreat someone who has mistreated you. But try to earn the respect of others,

When someone shows their ugly face to you(I mean they treat you badly)you really feel like giving them back for what they have done to you, Don’t you ? Every normal human does the same. But we are not normal people , we belong to Jesus don’t we? And Jesus never has asked you to mistreat anybody but to love even your enemies, pray for them and even help them in their time of need. Too tough lesson isn’t itJ. But the truth is when you do this, you are more blessed than your enemy. If you hold bad feeling(anger, jealous, hatred etc) towards a person, you will keep on thinking about it and dumping bad thoughts in your mind. The devil grabs such opportunity to make you do evil things and thereby destroy your peace more than that of anybody else’s. But instead if you pray to Jesus asking Him to fill you with love for people who trouble you, I bet you will find heaven within you! Don’t you want to feel it? So ready for that. Say a little prayer to God and wait till our next mail on peace!!

(Hindi) बुराई के बदले किसी से बुराई न करो? जो बातें सब लोगोंके निकट भली हैं, उन की चिन्‍ता किया करो।

(Tamil OV)  ஒருவனுக்கும் தீமைக்குத் தீமை செய்யாதிருங்கள்; எல்லா மனுஷருக்கு முன்பாகவும் யோக்கியமானவைகளைச் செய்ய நாடுங்கள்.

(Telugu)  కీడుకు ప్రతి కీడెవనికిని చేయవద్దు; మనుష్యులందరి దృష్టికి యోగ్యమైన వాటినిగూర్చి⁴ ఆలోచన కలిగి యుండుడి.

(Kan) ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ. ಎಲ್ಲರ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವದು ಗೌರವ ವಾದದ್ದೋ ಅದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿರ್ರಿ.

(Mal) ആര്‍ക്കും തിന്മെക്കു പകരം തിന്മ ചെയ്യാതെ സകലമനുഷ്യരുടെയും മുമ്പില്‍ യോഗ്യമായതു മുന്‍ കരുതി,

Romans 12:12  Let your hope make you glad. Be patient in time of trouble and never stop praying.

 Our hope is that when we have lived a life that pleases the Lord and get to Heaven, the Lord is going to reward us for our good works. But there might be many disheartening situations you face that may tempt you to turn you away from the Lord. But be patient at those times and never stop praying to the Lord to help you to walk in ways that pleases Him. Then the Lord will help you in all such situations to hold peace. Are you ready for the next one?

(Hindi) आशा मे आनन्‍दित रहो? क्‍लेश मे स्यिर रहो? प्रार्यना मे नित्य लगे रहो।

(Tamil OV)  நம்பிக்கையிலே சந்தோஷமாயிருங்கள்; உபத்திரவத்திலே பொறுமையாயிருங்கள்; ஜெபத்திலே உறுதியாய்த் தரித்திருங்கள்.

Romans 12:13  Take care of God's needy people and welcome strangers into your home.

Here we go! Give to the poor and needy. You might be rich or poor, but there must certainly    be people who are much lesser than you. Make a decision to help atleast one such person a day. Because the Lord Himself has said if you help the poor in the Lord’s Name, it will be counted that you have served the Lord Himself. In bible times there were people who travel by walk and rest the night in some unknown place. It might be unsafe for them . So the people of the Lord used to help such people to come to home and help them have a safe night rest. But in our context at times you may find strangers who might come to you for help like people in the road accidents, you sure can help them though they are complete strangers to you. Or think about a granny who is carrying some heavy load, you may give her lift maybe though she might be a complete stranger to you. In this welcoming strangers means to help someone who is in trouble. So are you ready to care for needy , the poor and a poor stranger?

(Hindi) पवित्र लोगोंको जो कुछ अवश्य हो, उस में उन की सहाथता करो? पहुनाई करने मे लगे रहो।

(Tamil OV)  பரிசுத்தவான்களுடைய குறைவில் அவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்யுங்கள்; அந்நியரை உபசரிக்க நாடுங்கள்.

(Telugu)  పరిశుద్ధుల అవసరములలో పాలు పొందుచు, ఆతిధ్యము శ్రద్ధగా ఇచ్చుచుండుడి.

(Kan) ಪರಿಶುದ್ಧರ ಕೊರತೆಯ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಹಂಚಿರಿ; ಅತಿಥಿಸತ್ಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ.

(Mal) കഷ്ടതയില്‍ സഹിഷ്ണുത കാണിപ്പിന്‍ ; പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയില്‍ ഉറ്റിരിപ്പിന്‍ ; വിശുദ്ധന്മാരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ കൂട്ടായ്മ കാണിക്കയും അതിഥിസല്‍ക്കാരം ആചരിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വിന്‍ .

Romans 12:14  Ask God to bless everyone who mistreats you. Ask Him to bless them and not to curse them.

It’s a funny pic right! In every one of our life we encounter people who fight with us for no reason, who cause us so much trouble, mistreat you badly. People din’t leave Jesus either, did they(Jesus nailed on the cross). So take heart. For the Lord has also gone through situations like that. And He can understand you a lot more than anyone can. The Lord blessed and forgave the people who mistreated Him. He gave Himself on the cross for such people. So as the children of the Lord, shouldn’t we follow Him? So start praying for those who trouble you and bless them. Don’t utter curses with your mouth with which you praise God. I know its pretty hard. But pray and try to do it. I swear you will find so much of internal peace no matter that particular who troubles you does anything to you. Because the Lord is in full control of you J. We will look at the next level of steps in the next mail.

(Telugu)  మిమ్మును హింసించువారిని దీవించుడి; దీవించుడి గాని శపింపవద్దు.

(Kan) ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿರಿ; ಶಪಿಸದೆ ಆಶೀ ರ್ವದಿಸಿರಿ.

(Mal) നിങ്ങളെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുന്നവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന്‍ ; ശപിക്കാതെ അനുഗ്രഹിപ്പിന്‍ .
